Raphinha remains determined to achieve more with Barcelona. He has reportedly decided to sign a new deal with the Catalan giants. His current contract with Barcelona is set to expire in 2027.

Though there’s still enough time for renewal talks, Raphinha appears to be in a hurry to settle his future. The Brazilian star is close to agreeing to a contract extension with Barcelona that will see him stay at the Spanish club till 2029, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Two parties have already discussed the fresh deal, but a few more minor details need to be finalised before making it official.

Raphinha has unleashed his beast mode under Hansi Flick this season. He has been a key to Barcelona’s dominant performance across all competitions and has emerged as a top contender for the Ballon d’Or, registering 59 goal contributions in 54 appearances.

Ahead of the recent El Clásico, where Barcelona thumped Real Madrid for a 4-3 win, Raphinha expressed his desire to sign a contract extension.

“To think about reaching the top of football without Barcelona is illogical. Honestly, I’m enjoying it a lot right now. I didn’t expect it, even in my dreams. I can’t imagine a Barcelona without Raphinha. What’s next? My renewal," the 28-year-old winger told Movistar.

Earlier in April, Catalunya Radio reported that Barcelona might consider putting Raphinha on the market in the coming summer. The club might set an asking price of €80-90 million for him.

Before Flick took over the managerial hot seat, Raphinha was almost ready to leave, but the situation has since changed. He has credited the German coach for his astonishing improvement.

“I will be forever grateful to Hansi Flick. He changed my entire career. He wanted to see me train before making any decision about my future. He saw me in his plans. Without Flick, I would maybe have been at another club and not at Barca now," Raphinha said in a recent interview.

Raphinha scored a brace in the victory against Real Madrid, which all but secured the La Liga title for Barcelona. They need only two points from the remaining three games to become the Spanish champions.
